Introduction

In response to the pressing challenges of energy shortage and the crucial need for secure road experiences, we present Light Bringer, a cutting-edge smart streetlight solution. The incorporation of AI, IoT and adaptive brightness control makes Light Bringer an intelligent and sustainable choice. By harnessing the power of IoT, Light Bringer optimizes energy consumption, while its adaptive brightness control ensures that roads remain well-lit and safe for pedestrians and drivers alike. In this proposal, we explore how Light Bringer can be a transformative solution that not only addresses the energy crisis but also enhances the overall road experience with cutting-edge features and advancements.

Implementation

Hardware

We design the prototype of Light bringer from scratch with the help of Laser Cutting. Following photos shows the assembly process.

Software

I have made a significant contribution to the project by developing a full stack app that allows users to interact with Light Bringer. Through this app, users can access **real-time sensor data** from each street light using the MQTT protocol. Furthermore, the app enables users to **control the brightness of the streetlights** via a user-friendly web interface. Additionally, the surveillance camera integrated into the system serves multiple purposes, such as **alerting users to potential danger events** and **facilitating traffic management**. To be more specific, we implement human falling detection model to identify and report possible injury.

Demo

After being nominated for the **Corporate Award and the Grand Award**, we demonstrated and introduced our work on the stage to all the judges and audience.

Prize

At last, we are honored to receive the **Best Maker Award and the 3rd Place of Corporate Award**.
